This is my spooky tree painting made by paint. It is supposed to resemble the landscapes in the older Disney films. They are unrealistic spooky trees like in a movie. One new skill I learned from doing this is how to mix colors to really get the color you want. The main art elements I used are value, shape, space, and color. I used value in between the layers of ground in the painting. I also used color to show contrast and make the painting more mystical and pretty. This project is supposed to recreate scary looking trees in movies. I used the art elements to make my artwork more put together and drastic. It is important because I now know how to properly make colors and add detail to make things look the way you want them too.

This painting is my dreamtime painting. The media I used was paints and a little bit of oil pastels. My dreamtime is supposed to look like Hawaii and the landscape of it. As I drew it I thought of the brightness of the sun and sand, the clear blue waters. One new skill I learned, was how to dot using q-tips. The main art elements used are shape, space, color, and texture. In my opinion mostly texture. The project was supposed to show some sort of feelings we have or had for something. Mine conveys the good feelings of being in Hawaii. By using bright paints, and complementary colors, it made my dreamtime bright and happy just like my emotions. This expresses what I really love and feel good about.
This assignment is my pen and ink drawing. I used ink called India ink to draw my flower. The purpose of this was to try and recreate a picture of a flower so naturally, my drawing looks like a flower. One new skill I learned was how to show texture by cross hatching mad drawing lines. The main art elements used are line, value, shape, and form. By using these elements and different techniques, I was able to recreate the flower. This project was of a clean white flower. I used texture techniques to show colors and depth and edge. This is all important because I know know how to draw in a different way, and how to use lines to make depth and texture. |
